In recent years, the number of people who use email is increasing. This is happens because the protection of computers and laptops has also increased and the internet providers help people to communicate easily with other people by sending email or online chatting. First of all, I want to let you know what an email is. Email is an electronic mail, which means a letter that is sent by using the internet network. We do not need to write the letter on the paper anymore. Just type it on the computer and send it through the internet, but before we can use this facility, first we must have an email account. It is very easy to have an email account on the web such as yahoo mail or gmail (Google mail), just sign up, and follow the instructions, soon in a few minutes we can use this account.

Email has had a big impacts either positives or negative on our lives, especially on professional and social communication. People gain many advantages by using email, but some people have said that email also have many disadvantages.

The advantages of using email are its speed and simplicity. We only need a little time to send letters by email and the receiver can receive the letters only in a few seconds. It means that we can save money and time. We do not have to go to the post office and wait for long time for the reply. It is also very simple and easy to do because we just type it on the computer and click the mouse. Moreover, it also helps us to manage our business; we can keep it in the inbox or make a folder in the computer. Many professionals like businessmen, journalists, lecturers, and many others get many benefits from using email. For example, it is very easy for journalists to report the news wherever they are only by using email and they can attach some pictures and videos in it.

On the other hand, email also has disadvantages like electricity or the internet network problems. We need electricity and the internet support to send an email. We will have problems if the facilities do not support the system so it is only can be used by people who have access.

Even though email has disadvantages, we still need email in our lives. The advantages of using email outweigh the advantages.
